Between Sessions
Based on the developments during the session, clients can be provided with body, speech, and mind awareness take-home practice to further their development between sessions. This could include cues on how to breathe, sit, and walk more efficiently, Asana and other yogic movements, along with mindfulness or meditation strategies to stay more open and adaptable between sessions.
Length of Time Between Sessions
When working with new clients, a beneficial spacing for sessions is frequently two to three weeks apart. Barring any new injuries or strains, this will generally expand out to three to six weeks apart the further the session work progresses. Changes both noticeable and subtle will occur between sessions. The many years of life experience layer up over time in the body, speech, and mind. It is essential to give all three time to acclimate to and integrate these changes while finding a new equilibrium between sessions.
Number of Sessions
The unique life experiences of habitual patterns, along with the cumulative injuries and traumas we have endured, bring us to where we stand today. The compounding severity of these experiences may necessitate small or substantial effort to effectively transform in a new direction. This transformation is different for each individual and is frequently influenced by the amount of time available to explore the home practice between sessions. On average it can take 6-12 months to arrive at a new point of greater stability of body, speech, and mind. Having reached a new point of perspective, many clients choose to return periodically for transformation tune ups.
When to Expect Noticeable Change
Many clients report feeling change in the first session; others may take multiple sessions. Depending on the complexity of body alignment and health history, this experience will vary for each person. Frequently, changes in alignment and flexibility from each session will take time to reach critical thresholds before other changes in sensation will be able to occur. Generally, if a client does not report felt improvement after four sessions then it is beneficial to examine if this approach is an appropriate path to explore at this time.
Fees and Payment
The initial consultation fee is $110. In person therapy sessions are $195 and virtual therapy sessions are $155. A credit or debit card is required to schedule your initial appointment. Payment will automatically be charged to your card on file through Square, our payment processor, on the day of your session. If you would prefer to pay via cash or check you will still require a card on file with Square. Online session payments may only be made via credit card on Square.
Insurance
We do not bill or process any insurance forms for services provided.
Cancellation/Missed Appointment Fee
Your session is a block of time set aside specifically for you. However, we understand that life happens and things do come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we do ask for 24 hours advance notice of any change. Failure to do so will result in your credit card on file being charged for the full session rate for the missed appointment. If you have questions regarding seasonal illnesses, please see Illness and Cancellation for more detailed information.
24-hour advanced notice is required to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
Missed appointments and late cancellations are a loss to everyone, including other clients who would have liked to have had that time. Please update your appointment online as soon as you know that you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. The sooner we know about a cancellation, the more likely it is that someone else who wants that time will be able to get in.
Without 24-hour advanced notice, a cancellation fee of the full cost of a session will be charged. If there are extenuating circumstances, please share them via email.
Reminder texts or emails are a courtesy to you. If you do not receive a reminder, you are still responsible for attending your scheduled appointment.
Your time is reserved especially for you. Missed appointments compromise our ability to address your needs as well as the needs of other clients waiting to be seen.
Repeated late cancellations or reschedules, while still paying the cancellation fee, may result in a termination of the client’s ability to schedule future sessions.
