I was introduced to Matthew's work by a colleague and I didn't understand it at first. My colleague told me she couldn't explain it but every time she left Matthew's office she felt so good, we'd been discussing similar shoulder pain.
After just talking to Matthew my body began to relax. I went from feeling a lot of fear about what was going on to feeling curiosity. Matthew is a teacher and practitioner of body awareness, I left the Rolfing® appointment with more knowledge about my body and more awareness of how each part/system affects the other.
I've only had one Rolfing appointment and done 4 yoga classes with Matthew and my shoulder pain is almost gone. Prior to my appointment, I was sleeping on an ice pack and taking Ibuprofen daily. I have done neither of those things since I began working with Matthew.
I agree with my colleague, I can't really explain it, but Matthew has helped me to feel so good in my body and I look forward to continuing Rolfing, yoga and body awareness education with him.
